Hopefully you have been introduced to Angel course management software that your teachers are using now. For this week's blog, write about your thoughts/feelings/praises/complaints about this new learning and communication tool. Some of the things to think about are:1. Has it helped communication with your teachers?
2. Do you feel you are getting more or less homework?
3. Is it helping you keep caught up when you are absent?
4. What would you do to improve it?

i think its pretty good and we dont have stuff like that in austria, so its really new for me being in a school which uses a lot of technology. i dont know if its better to catch up when i was absent because i never have been absent since im here.
i think that it is a good thing because if you are sick the students can check it at home
i like angel because you can look at due dates if you forgot what day it was and also you can talk to your teachers and find out details on projects and such..overall i haven't had any problems with it.
1) In my opinion it has helped a lot in communicating with teachers. Though I have not had to contact a teacher through the Angel program I am sure that it would make such a communication much easier. I am sure that at least one student in our school has had to e-mail a teacher through Angel or communicated with a teacher in some way.
2) I feel that I have actually gotten the same amount of homework (I didn't really get much to begin with but...). In the long run I would like to think that Angel will cut down on the amount of homework given to students, except maybe by the old-school all book teachers.
3) So far since we have gotten Angel I have not been absent, and the only class I have that posts daily assignments would be my English class, so as of now Angel would probably not help too much if I was absent from school.
4) To improve Angel I would probably require, as much as possible, teachers to post any assignments to help if a student is absent so that they can get started on missed homework ASAP.
One other objection to Angel being a main means of communication is: if a student doesn't have internet service at home and a teacher posts an assignment when that student is ill or gone from school for any reason, how is that student supposed to see that assignment? Even though I do have internet service at home and it doesn't apply to me, I have friends who do not have internet (don't get me wrong they can come use my wireless whenever necessary, but if they are sick they're parents probably won't let them come over just to use my internet).
Overall I think that Angel is a great resource for the school to have and for teachers and students to use. I pretty much agree with anybody who says that Angel E-Learning was a good idea because it was and is a good resources.
I like the whole system. I think it saves a lot of paper and is a lot easier to keep track of everything. It will be nice if I'm gone to jump on Angel and easily make up homework assignments.

I think that Angel has helped a lot. It has helped communicate with teachers a lot easier, especially when out of school. I admit, it has its disadvantages but I think it has more advantages then disadvantages.

Personalty i think it is wonderful....yes it has helped me communicate better with all my teachers that use it....its nice because during the weekend or after school if you need something you can usually find the answer here or you can send the teacher a message through angel....i love how we have announcements too!....i think it is a great program for our students!!

I would have to say yeah the Angel eLearning is pretty helpful. I can email a teacher and ask them a question if I need too. When I'm absent I can usually get on there and get my assignments for the day or still even hand in homework if I am gone from school. So yeah I would have to say its helpful and I like using it plus I'd say we get about the same amount of work to do too.

With some teachers it is more complicated because they are just learning how to do it. But it helps when you are gone and have to get in assignments; but I don't think it has helped or hurt communication in the classroom. I think we have less paper homework with angel though.

1. I think that it didn't really help because that some people don't have good internet connection and have a hard time getting internet.
2. I think we have the same amount of homework because some classes still have paper and pencil
3. I don't think it is really helping me keep caught up and its just doesn't really help. You need internet to get on angel.
It has made communication with teachers alot better on my part when I don't understand something or drop boxing assignments. It doesn't do me much good at home because i have dial up. I think I have the same amount of home work as I did before.
1)In my opinion i think it is very helpful and it has helped the students keep in touch with all of the teachers and when kids are sick at home they can check there homework online and it just makes it more easier to communicate with the teachers and to see what they have to do for the day and so they can stay caught up with there homework and so it is not late.
2) I feel that i have gotten less work with angel but with angel i think that it will cut it down in the long run and it will help all of us stay caught up and we wont have to have our family grab our books when we are sick because we have angel and that will get us our homework to us.
3) Yes this is keeping me caught up because when i was at home sick Monday and Tuesday i looked on angel and i got all of my work done ahead of time and when i got back to school i had all of my work done on time and i did everything that i was supposed to do and i didnt get in trouble for not having it done. But I still think that it was a very good idea for them to get us the angel website so we could do all of our homework on it.
4)What i would do to improve it is give every one a chance how to learn how to use the angel web site . I think that it will be a good thing that they are showing all of the students will be using them in the future instead of using books and then we wont have to use pencils any more. I will be glad when we don't have any more books in this school because then we wont have to worry about having to get yelled at by the teachers because we don't have a pencil or paper.
I think that it a very nice and put together sight and it is also very helpful to the teachers and to the students for when they are gone.Anither thing is that the teachers can do there home work plans on there so then if some one is going to be gone then they wil know what is going on and what they are talking about
It has helped me communicate better with my teachers. I like it because if I don't have to worry bout forgetting my assingment in my locker. I think it is a very useful tool.
1) yes it has helped with communication because if I am ever sick I can get on angel and write an email to my teachers about any questions I have.
2) I think I'm doing about the same amount of homework just in a different way. It just depends on the assignment, if its faster or slower.
3) Yes it helps me stay organized!
4) There isn't anything I know that would improve it.
its not to bad it works but sometimes its takes a lot of time that takes away from learning
The Angel website has helped a lot. It is very useful when you miss school and need assignments. It helps because teachers also post due dates on there and since we use it everyday we will see the date and have plenty on time to work in a project and know when its due.

To me it has helped communicate with my teachers, I don't really feel as if i'm getting more or less homework, but it does help a great deal when you are absent. the only thing i would do to improve it is probably either get the other older operating system for the macs so that we can do more programs.
I think it was a good idea for the school to do. It allows the students to communicate with the teachers when they are gone. On the fact of being absent, not many of my teachers put a lot of stuff on there so I dont know how it would work if i was gone. However, with track coming up, it would be really nice to just go on the internet and look instead of hunting down the teacher. Some complaints i would have about it are, that some students like to talk to the teachers rather than go on internet and look at it. I think this is because they want to make sure they get all the work that they need to do.
I think Angel has been a very good addition to our computers. It helps me stay more organized and on top of things during class. Accessing my homework off of Angel is a lot easier than getting it off the board in the classroom!

4. Something that I would do improve angel is that if a teacher is going to put assignments on angel, is that they do all the assignments on it instead just every once in awhile.
So my overall thoughts on angel is that it has advanced are learning with technology, but I also think it has made school a lot more difficult.
I like angel because i makes things alot easier to hand in when all you have to do i use the drop box. It also helps you know what is going to go on for week and stuff like that
Angel has sort of helped communication with teachers. Mostly they just post announcements for us to read which is helpful, but angel hasn't really made a difference in back and forth communication. Homework is the same, but now we drop box everything..this is convenient because now you don't have to keep track of a whole bunch of papers. Haven't been absent to know whether or not it would help keep me caught up, but I could foresee it being useful in some classes. I'm not really sure of anything off the top of my head I would do to improve it; I'd have to think on that a while.

Its alright i guess. Some of the teachers don't keep up with it but other then that i like it.
I like how we can just drop box our homework. When your gone from school its nice to have the assignments on the internet so you don't have wait till you get back. I think that it is great.
I think it has helped with communication with teachers because now if they need to let me know something they can just send me a message on Angel, I think I'm getting about the same amount of homework as before but it's a little more challenging, I helps when I'm absent because then I don't have to worry about waiting to find out what the assignment is when I come back
I think it works well, especially if you are gone and need to know an assignment, or if you forgot what you had to do or what the guidelines for something were. Another nice thing is that you can access it on any computer, not just the macbooks.
The new Angel Software has really helped me personally get more out of school. I do feel like we are getting more homework, but i would much rather be doing homework electronically than sitting down at a table and hand writing everything out. That is only one downfall that i see could be happening with this new age of electronics is penmanship could be taking a down turn. The more the kids have to type the less they have to worry about writing. Pretty soon that won't even be something that we do every day.
I think that angel has helped a lot with communicating with teachers. I think we get the same amount of homework and it is easier to turn things in.

I think it has helped with communication between students and teachers. On the other hand we are getting a lot more homework, its sometimes crazy with stuff that we have to do. I took a trip to Colorado but that problem was that i didnt have internet so it was hard to do homework. I think we should have an excuse if we don't have internet because most of my homework is via internet, not that i don't have internet its just some people don't.
Its a good thing overall. it doesnt really help me communicate with teachers and most of the time when i am sick i dont have anything on there so i think that could be improved but when i am here it is so much easier to get assignments and hand them in instead of paper. And they dont get lost as easy as paper assignments did. so it has helped and hindered both in my view.
I feel Angel will defintely help me communicate with my teachers alot if I never to contact them. In the classes I use Angel in I have gotten more homework testing out Angel to see how good it works. It seems to be alot easier to get homework done this way also. I have not been absent but I have checked ahead in classes just in case I do get sick. I don't think much needs to be done to improve it. Angel is a great tool for school when you have writing projects, because instead of printing out the paper you can just put in a teacher's drop box and not have to worry about losing the assignment. It also helps show which students get their homework done on time.
I like angel because it makes it really easy to hand in homework and also to receive information about our projects. Also, its a good way to do your homework and get it in when you are gone from school.
I feel like Angel has helped me in someways keep in good communication with my teachers. I definitely think that since the teachers have all started to learn the basics of Angel the amount of homework has increased tremendously because not only are they giving us book assignments they are also trying to incorporate are Mac books and the Angel site into are learning to, which is fine but I think if you start giving kids to much homework they are not going to look at this site and the Mac Books in a positive way anymore. The angel website has helped when I have been gone with getting homework done before I come back. I think that if there is one thing that could be changed about angel is that somethings need to be universal throughout all teachers as far as the way stuff is posted and how long assignments are going to posted for. It can get confusing going from class to class, where every teachers uses the site differently! An it can become a problem and get you into a little bit of trouble, when you think an assignment is going to be posted for at least over the weekend cause that is how it is in all your other classes and then its actually only on the angel website for 2 hours...and then you go home and try to do it over the weekend and have it ready for Monday and its not there! That can be a HUGE problem! (SPEAKING FROM PERSONAL EXPIERENCE!!) We just need the teachers to try and use it as similar to each other as possible I think! :)

No it has not helped me communicate with teachers, and my homework I can't do on the computer for it is way too confusing, it does not help me when I am absent it totally sucks and I wish I could take it back. I would like to have internet at home so I could actually stay caught up but i don't so i am so screwed!!!

well i dont use angel that much. i only use it for 3 classes. and i really dont use them for those classes because we dont use them that much.

The angel eLearning has actually helped me with a lot of my homework and especially my projects. I like the fact that we can dropbox our assignments on angel and not have to mess with printing and just do everything on our macs. I think it's more convenient than anything which makes it a great advantage...
well angel really doesn't efect any of my classes but, i still would rather hand it in personally.

i love the angel website... i think its awesome because you can have all your classes on it...its easier to communicate with you teachers... i dont know if it has had an affect on homework...but i do know that we now take our bio II test on angel and they are alot easier now!!!
