I Found this article: http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn17724-smart-home-knows-just-how-you-like-your-breakfast.html

It basically says there is a smart house that knows how you like your breakfast, and could potentially help people with dementia or others with cognitive difficulties.

For example if you left a stove burner on it will give you an audio or video signal telling you that you left it on.

I found this link from searching on Youtube. It is like a touch screen computer but with way more things to do on it and it's a flat screen that doesn't just lay on a table top or counter but is actually the table top or counter. I think that it is really sweet and would be really awesome to actually have in your home.

http://www.oled-display.net/oled-television

OLED televisions are a technology that has been talked about for a while. In fact, Sony released one in 2007. The technology was marked as a failure, and Sony made no subsequent models.

LG recognized that it wasn't a failure, Sony just didn't build them right. Sony used a half LED, half LCD panel. The first actual pure OLED model was just presented this month by LG. It is less than an inch thick and offers up to 50 times the contrast and brightness of a high-end LCD or Plasma screen. They also use much less energy and do not require a backlight to function. They are cheaper to manufacturer, and I imagine will take the market in a couple years

first of all this is called. "Ford MyKey". and what this does is it gives parents or whom ever the control of the vehicle at all times. they can control speed variations. rpm control. volume of the stereo. they say this is going to be standard on all 2010 ford models.

Well when I was looking for new technology I found several things that interested me, but one that really got me. A Smart Home. At Washington State University one student moved into a Smart House.

The House would be able it sense that the stove was left on and through audio or pictures would be able to tell the person to go back to the stove. The sensors outputs are know as Casas. Casas can identify patterns like the light comes on a 6am, then the coffee maker and toaster go on.

So residents don't feel like there is am invasion of privacy they don't use cameras. Instead, they use RFID chips or microphones. These sensors can detect motion like temperature, light, humidity, water, and more.

They are also working on upgrades that allow Casas to detect multiple inhabitants and to recognize variations in patterns of each person.

http://www.apple.com/ipodshuffle/features.html

It's the new iPod shuffle. If you want to know the song you are listening to you can just press a button and it'll tell you what it is. The controls are easy and it holds about 1000 songs. Finally, you can clip it to your shirt or something for on the go.

From the website above it basically explains about hybrids. how and why they are expensive to purchase and it gives reasons on why would want to buy one.
It basically has an average gasoline engine but it also has electric drive motors which would help use up all the energy that is wasted by a regular gasoline engine. Which would help you save money at the pump. It is environmentally safe because it doesn't release that much exhaust. but there is also a bad side to hybrids. They special parts that are on them would cost quite a bit of money just to fix.

Thin air processor.

Each pneumatic valve is operated by changing the air pressure in a small chamber below the air channel, separated from the circuit by a flexible impermeable membrane. When the lower chamber is filled with air the membrane pushes upwards and closes the valve, preventing the binary signal flowing across one of the processor's junctions.

This is a new cell phone that will tell you if you have had to much to drink! LG manufacturers in South Korea will introduce this to the U.S. in the future. All you have to do is blow into a little spot on the phone, and if your to drunk to drive, it will show a car hitting traffic cones. When I saw this, I thought it was kinda weird, but if you think about it, its a pretty good idea!

This is a new add on for the wii. It gives you more control over what you are doing on the wii because it knows exactly how you are holding the remote.

Its the new air powered car! I find this pretty cool! It tops out at 68mph and can have a range of 125miles I think this is a smart way to start thinking if gas prices and all these other things keep raising.

I found this article about TV in 3D.
http://www.popsci.com/gear-amp-gadgets/gallery/2009-09/top-10-ifa-uber-gadgets

It's about Sony and Panasonic developing new TVs so you can watch your movies in 3D.

I went to a 3D cinema 2 years ago and it was really great so I hope you can buy these in a few years.

On this website it says they're making more robots to help patients at home so they don't have to come into the hospital as much. They already had a lot of sales on the robot vacuums, and these robot nurses would cut down a LOT of health care costs. The robot could diagnose, examine, and make sure the people get the right medicines on the right schedule. This is mostly to help out the elderly people.

This is a website leading to a phone that has a breathalyzer test on it. It will tell you if you've been drinking too much just by you blowing on a small spot on your phone. And it will also make it so that you can not call certain people in your phone book after a certain hour. This phone is located in North Korea and the phone will be introduced to the United States in the near future. This article also was dated 2006.

This is the article I found... kind of interesting: http://www.popsci.com/scitech/article/2009-09/freckles-flab-make-better-stem-cells

It's basically saying that in the stem cell research that they have done, they found that cells from freckles or fat produce a substantial amount more than that of cells of normal skin.

Basically the new Ford Taurus has a new system in it that allows the parents to control how fast the car can go,how loud the volume can be, and the car will not start until the seatbelt is clicked. i think that this is going to drop the number of car accidents we have.
