What do I think you could do better? There has to be something but I can't think of anything right now. So I will just skip that one for now. What did I like least/best? The best thing I like about these macs is that you can personalize your way. What I like least is that I have to give it back at the end of the year because I have gotten such an attachment to this baby. I'm going to miss my mac. But what I liked the least was that we can't do itunes library sharing thing that we used to do. Yes this has influenced me on getting a mac. But the problem is that all the stuff that I have on this mac isn't already built into the computer like it was for these ones. I would have to pay for them myself. Okay I just asked my teacher and she said that the basics do come with this computer when we get it. So never mind what I just said. The only problem for getting your own mac is that it costs a lot of money. What I would change for next year is probably that we could get onto ichat if we don't have anything else to do in class. What you could do better is that for next year you should give us a list of websites to go to if we need help for a specific thing on our macs so we wouldn't have to keep asking you for help. Like a list of websites for troubleshooting. Well thats my blog. Good bye

well their isn't much more u can do really i think that it is fine the way it is because if u change it so much mor for all that will be a bad idea then no one will use there computers then nothing will get done.

I think the laptops are an excellent tool to use. In my experience, they have made homework easier although it seems like ever since we got them, teachers have just given us more homework then usual. They have been a distraction to some people, one of them being me occasionally but then again I can't think of anybody who hasn't been distracted by them. I think that ever since we've had these laptops, my desire for a one in college has grown. I think my favorite thing about the laptops was imovie, because it allowed me to put all of my photos into a creative slide show with music that fit the occasion. I'm really excited to have the laptops all year long next year though!

i like them cause alot of people type faster then they can write and it is easy to turn in the assignments
I like having the laptops, I think the 24/7 initiative was a good idea.
As for what you, the teachers and staff, can do better I can't really say. You are already doing pretty much everything in your power, there isn't much more you can do.
I like imovie, and photoshop best out of everything on these computers. I like the fact that I can easily make a movie, be it informative or just a random movie about nothing in particular. As for what I like least about these computers I would have to say the distraction they offer.
I am not pointing fingers, I too have been distracted be it by games or random pictures online I have been distracted from my school work. Overall they are a good learning tool but that distraction factor is still there and will be there as long as we have them, the sad truth...
Since using one of these Macs at school I have seriously considered purchasing two of them. One for me for college and one for mom, who needs an easy to manage computer when I am not home. Since the Mac computers can't viruses and spyware they are a much better bet for both school and personal use.
One big thing I would change wouldn't probably be anything. I can't really think of anything big that does need to be changed on these Macs. Although probably not possible I would say to buy some longer lasting batteries for people who are in digital media and digital design, seeing as how iMovie and Photoshop seem to be really hard on the battery power.
Overall I do think the Mac 24/7 program is a great idea. Well since I covered everything I am going to wrap up this post. I know this isn't my longest Blog but I am tired today, this will give somebody a fighting chance at finally posing one longer than mine!

I thought that the laptops helped out a lot and i got a lot more done when i could just take the computer home and not have to transfer everything. I know that we saved a LOT of paper over the year to.The computers were nice and all but i don't think that i want a macbook for college. I'm way to used to using my dell. But over all i really don't think that i would change anything.
I really don't know what you could do to make the computers better. I think think they're pretty outstanding computers and I've become very familiar with it and like one enough that I just might buy one because I need a computer for college. Plus it makes homework a lot easier and keeps me busy so I'm never wandering around doing anything wrong.
well for one thing they help me a lot because when i am righting a paper and i dont have enuf time left in the period to git it dun i can just save it to my mac and take it home and finish it instead of going to all the work of saving t to a flash drive .it also is a nice fast and quick way to luck up info on the web for research for our classes .But my most favorite thing about the macs is the itunes program i am a big music person and having music to lissein to when i am not doing any thing in class it a very nice thing.and a nother thing is i chat it is so nice to be able to talk to teacher when ever you have a question or just need to drop box a project to a teacher i think that they are very nice tools for us and this school.

even though I didnt have a mac book, I was using Pauline's a lot and also in one class period in school. that really helped me a lot! I like those computers a lot and if they wouldnt be that expensive I'd probably have one.
I dont really know what u could do better cuz as I said, I didnt have one. I really like the idea having computers for the students. and I'd love having that in Austria!

i like having the laptop to do homework and other things on..i don't know if their is much of anything else you can do to make the 24/7 learning program any better at the moment, the only thing i dont like is not being able to have them over summer time and giving them back at the end of the year, i mean it makes sense why you have to give it back but id like to keep it over the summer!

What do I think you could do better? Well I think that Us as juniors should should be the more responsible for our computers next year and i think that we all need to do our best to show all of the kids in the school to show them how to take care of the macbooks and i also think that since we will be seniors next year i think it will be our duty to help all of the kids learn how to use the macbooks.
2. I think that i liked the best about having the laptops is being able to my homework at home and i think that we need to do everything that is needed to to be done and i think that the 24/7 initiative program. It is a good thing that we did it because i think that it will help us get all of our stuff in and we will be able to do everything on our own and we wont have to use our parents computers.
3. Did this influence me to buy a mac for college. Yes because i have grew on the mac and i think that it will be alot easier to use and i wont have to get use to a dell again and i will be able to do all of my work and not to be late with my home work and i think that we should do every thing that we can.
4. the one big thing that i would change is the games cuz every time we do our homework we are able to work on it in class and i think that we should have more fun with the computer next year and i think that we should do our best and i think that we should do our best to help the other kids with there homework and to show them how to use the mac and that we will need to learn how to use them and i think that we will be able to what we can do the best.
5. I think the only thing i would say is that some of the websites have trouble loading and they get errors and i think that we should do things my way and i think that i should help every one out and to talk to my friends at home.
I don't think there is anything you can do better. I loved always having my own computer with me at all times! It's going to be really hard to not have it this summer. Yes, at first I wasn't planning on getting a MacBook but now I want one for college! The one big thing I would change is to add a DVD burner on all the laptops.

I think that having the computers this year have helped a bunch. The helped me get homework done alot easier and it forced us to get internet. I don't think that there is a whole lot you could change, I think that the monitoring thing is great and it helps kids concentrate of doing school work. At first I wasn't sure about the mac books but now that ive had a chance to mess with them for a couple months I would love to have one for college.

i was really pleased with the amount of freedom that we were given on the school laptops. I wish that youtube could be unblocked that is about the only thing i would want. But that does have some stuff maybe not appropriate for school so that may never happen... very well done though

I think that the laptops were an excellent tool, people were for the most part very responsible.I really liked the stuff like photoshop and things like that, that helped me do things more creativly. I think the one big thing I would change is to have a penalty system. I think that if a person is doing something that doesn't pertain to class during classtime they should have a penalty system based on severity, but not amazingly severe though, just like shutting off a kid's firefox for like the rest of the period. And yes this whole thing has convinced me that I want to buy a macbook for college because I like the way they are setup and it would be very easy for me to keep track of things.
I really liked how you could get work done easily and send it to your teacher even if your not in class. Also, I thought it made it easier to work on things, especially out of class, because you have all of your resources right there. One thing I would change was there was a lot of distractions, but I think there is always going to be that because its like that with anything, some people will use it to get good out of it and some won't. I really liked the macs and I think I will get one.
I think that the laptops are a great thing to use. There isn't much i would say the teachers need to do to make it better. I also think that it helped me, but also hindered me a lot. Dang facebook... I liked how it turned out being really easy to use. Hence i am getting one for college. Some things i didnt like were the applications that were blocked when we needed to use them. Overall I would say that the laptops are a good idea, and the teachers are doin a good job
I think that the laptops were a great addition to our school. They helped a ton with homework and especially now working on my senior video and everything. I also like that you can put pictures of your own on them. These have helped me with my decision for the laptop I'm going to get in college, which is a Macbook I'm hoping!
Something that I would change about the 24/7 learning is that, I think the students should have more privacy on their laptops. Yes true I think the teachers should look over them once in awhile. I really didn't like the 24/7 learning because it seem like I got more homework with these laptops. I think I'm going to get a mac for next year at college because I just like the overall features of the mac over the other computers out there.
I thought everything went good with the laptops. It sounds like quite a few computers were dropped, but there's not much you can do about that. One thing you can do better is monitor kids that are playing games during class, such as making sure they have all their work done before playing by asking their teachers. I like Imovie the best about the macbooks, i had a really good time making the videos I got to do. The least favorite thing was that sometimes when i went to a friends house their internet wouldnt work on my computer and i had their password for the connection. I am really thinking about buying a macbook for college, but there are still negatives I don't like about them. I really don't think there is much to change. I am really glad we got the opportunity to test this 24/7 learning out!
What I love about having a macbook, is instant access to everything no matter where I am at. If i am going to be out of town i can still get my assignments done. I also like the command shift 4 code thing to take a picture of the screen! My least favorite part has been sometimes my internet just stops working so i have to restart my computer to get the webpage to reopen.
It really made me consider getting a macbook, but my dad said he would pay for a dell, but if i wanted a mac i would have to pay for it myself; therefore i did go with a dell, but i definitely can see myself getting a mac later on down the road.
I really can't think of anything you could do better, or one big thing i would change.
So i guess i'll just end by saying thanks for getting this program for our school! I think it will really benefit the school and students. i have enjoyed using the mac and it's going to be hard to turn it in!!

I don't really have anything that was bad and i didn't like. .. i guess i don't like the way it feels like your being watched,though i wasn't doing anything wrong. But i mean that's what you expect when the school gives you a laptop. But what i did like was just about everything else. I loved how you can do whatever you want to them. they are "your" computer. I am really sad that i have to give my mac up on Monday, but I have decided that i am going to buy a mac for college. So this is my last blog.. C-YA ~!~
I feel that the laptops were a very important part of the students way of life this second semester. I knew that Mac software was always amazing, but was never around it 24/7, so it was really nice to have my own laptop for about 18 weeks. The hardest part about the end of this school year will be having to give them back. They were really great, and i hope that they brightening every kids future that uses them.
Honestly, I think the teachers have been doing a very good job of monitoring the laptop usage. I would say that I don't think it's that big a deal to play games in school if you have all of your work done.
The thing I liked the best is the fact that I can use the laptop to do virtually all of my schoolwork, so it basically eliminates the need for a trapper-keeper. I take my notes on the mac, which I then study on the mac, and I can even put a sticky note to remind myself to study. I also can write papers and take quizzes online, as well as create video projects.
Yes, it did influence me to buy a MacBook for college, although I would like a normal pc to be able to play games. That is one disadvantage to the Macs.
There really isn't one BIG thing that I would change. I think the Macs are great tools, and they have awesome potential. That is it.
I like the laptops idea but macs are horrible computers in my idea. they could switch to windows but that would get viruses. I am not going to buy a mac for college because i have seen the light WINDOWS VISTA!!!!! I can use vista and it allows me do do more than a mac but yea i think things are doing pretty well.
It was fun having them and I really don't know what could be improved on everything was good I have done a lot of homework on these and they have worked very well. The IMovie was my favorite one just I have enjoyed it. I like how with the Ichat you could be in touch with the other students around and that helps a lot. It was a addition to have the computers now and it will continue to be a success.
I loved having the macbooks they helped with so much. At first I didn't think I would use it that much ,but then I started using it everyday, so I am buying on for college!! I don't really know what else you could change!!

The 24/7 learning was a neat idea..although it seemed like we got a lot more homework since we got the lap tops. The privacy issue was a little crazy I ended up getting my itunes taken away due to explicit lyrics which is understandable because that was a rule but most kids listen to that type of music that was a little unfair.
I guess I've really enjoyed having my laptop. It can be really distracting at night sometimes especially... I guess that's just because I have a Facebook addiction though! Haha but I've made a lot of projects and stuff with my computer and it has really allowed me to be so much more creative.
I think that the computers have made a huge difference in our school.. i like them a lot and i dont no what i would change to make them better. the only thing i dont like is that when we got these you guys said that you wouldnt watch us all the time on them but its like that is all you do all day is watch and see what we do wrong.
I think that the teachers should have a better understanding of how to use them so they can help students out more
I'm not sure what you could do better. I liked the programs the best.As for having to export things well that could turn into a pain. I have already gotten a laptop for college and i'm said to say it is not a mac but i'll live. I think the mac's were a good tool for everyone at school. I'm not sure everyone understood the responsibility of having one but hopefully it'll get better. As a senior and having them for a short time I learned more then I thought I would.
Well I'm kind of worn out on the whole lap top critique because I wrote A LOT in the survey....but to sum it all up, I think iChat should be taken off all computers. And I love the way the schools let us personalize them. I am very thankful that we had this opportunity! I think the school board made a good choice with these.I was extremely sad to turn it in today!! :(
i dont think you guys, the staff, can do much more....i definatly like imovie the best and the whole exporting process it made things a lot easier, i cant think of anything i dont like at the moment...i think that when i go to college, if nothing else exraordinary comes out, i will get a mac, because i know how to use a lot of the programs and they are all really useful. i dont really know what to do different next year...i do think the if the jr high should have some extra rules and regulations.

Well i think that this 24/7 laptop is a good idea and that you can stay in contact when the weather gets bad and you can send your homework to your teacher. one thing about these laptops i see as a problem that everybody gets distracted a lot.

I think the laptops are a great tool in OHS. I like the laptops better this year than last because we use them more often in each class because it gave the teachers a year to figure out what they will be used for in their classes. I'm glad I am currently taking a computer tech class because I feel that I am using my computer to its full potential. And of course with all technology there is going to be bugs to work out but besides that I have no complaints about the macbooks and I would definitely consider purchasing one for college.
