Field Trip

For this final blog of the 1st Semester, I want you to put down your thoughts about our visit to Special T's in Lynch. Some things to think about:

1. Were you surprised at how big of a business they are for a small town?

2. What impressed you the most about the business?

3. What was something that your learned from the trip?

These are just things to think about, you can write about anything you want about the trip. Have a great holiday.

The thing that surprised me the most was the designer and how she knew how to work all the programs and turn real life pictures into cartoon pictures. The thing that impressed me is they are very dedicated and take pride in what they do. The main thing I learned was how they put the designs on t-shirts.

it really does surprise me because you would never think that a small town like lynch would ever get that much business, and how much dedication you have to put into that to make it be successful. it also surprised me on that only 18 people can get into a program for digital design.

I really liked how they were so friendly, it was actually alot smaller and different from the vision i had in my mind but now that i think about it they are in the little town of lynch so they cant be as big as other towns.i learned alot from the designer i didnt know you actually had to free hand draw them before you could work on the shirt print. I also thought that the machine that printed the shirts was really cool and i didnt expect it to actually be like that i thought they would just iron the designs onto the shirts like stadium sports, so that was cool.. im glad i got to go!

i think that it was a business and they had plenty to do and the know alot of the stuff they are doing .

i thought the business would have been a little bigger and it would have been a bigger building. they way they printed the shirts was the neatest thing to me and the machine that did it was purty cool too. i learned that macs do a lot for a business and you could start a business up from not much and it could be really big eventually

I was pretty surprised by how much business they got for being in such a small town, and with so little people. I was pretty impressed by how fast they work and how precise they are with their work. I learned that you have to be fast and precise about your business even if it is small, to keep it going.

Yes i was surprized there was such a big organization thingy in such a small town. that they were organized. that its so complicated to make something. i mean i couldnt do that :D

The trip to Special T's and more really surprised me because of how busy they were for a small town like Lynch. One thing that impressed me is that they have been in business for almost 18 years and they are very dedicated to pleasing their customers. One thing that I learned from the trip is how dedicated and how much hard work you have to put in to have a great business to operate and stay in business for a long period of time.

I was really surprised at how spread out their business was, i thought they only did shirts for area towns. I had no idea that they did things for businesses in omaha. They thing that impressed me most was that sometime they would stay at their business until 4:30 in the morning making sure everything gets done. It is amazing how big their business has become. I also liked how they use programs on the apple computer they had to help make the designs. The trip was a good idea because i learned a lot about the business that i didn't know.

I really liked how even though Lynch is a small town...the people in it don't let that bother them...since they are so successful with their business. It was surprising to me how the designer knew so much being so young.

I was suprised to see how much area they cover for how small of a business it was. That was what impressed me the most that all the schools and activities across such a big area they cover. I learned that the ink wont be completely dry on a screen printed shirt unless it is put thru that furnace thing

I was very surprised all the business that they brought in. They have orders from all over not just in small surrounding towns , but places far away. I was also impressed by their dedication. The time they spent making everything perfect is very impressive. I learned so much about their business. I learned how much time and work it actually takes to make one shirt!

I was surprised by how big of a business they are because I didn't think they would have so many different town to make shirts for. I think that the fact that they make so many shirts for so many different people and places was the most impressive. I learned that you need to make sure that the buyer is ok with the way the design is set up on a shirt or poster or whatever your making for them.

Yes, it surprised me a lot because I didn't think that much work had to go into just making one shirt. That's what impressed me most: how they are able to do so much business with so little employees. I learned that making t-shirts is no cakewalk.

I missed it because I was at home on my death bed...well not really, but close! Anyway- I cant really answer this because I was gone!

well... I didn't go on the trip. But from what I know about the business.. I think that its cool that a small town has such a big business ~!~

It was really interesting to see how many schools and race teams etc. they make apparel for. It's hard to believe a small place like that can do so much business but it just proves that they do a good job and do things right. It was pretty cool how they transfer the ink to the shirts and how quickly they can make one shirt.

I would like to blog but i was unable to go because i had to get an art project done.

I was very surprised with the size of a business in that small of a location. This business is a great example of where location, location, location does not play a key role. Someone could just email them their idea and they send it back to you, how they think it would look all electronically. What impressed me most is how efficient this business can be ran. I learned that running your own business can be stressful at times, but in the end can also be very rewarding.

I actually have seen the process of how all that works because of my trip to INDY. Indiana on my FFA National Convention there only we went to REEBOK Factory and it was a great experience to go there because they make professional clothing there I held Iverson's jersey that he is wearing when they made it there at the factory along with a lot of NHL jerseys and all sports, my favorite was seeing all the INDY COLTS Jerseys because they are my favorite NFL team it was quite the experience!!

The trip though was a great time they had the same process with the machine spinning around doing different stuff only at Reebok they a 1 person at each station and not the same person doing a separate but mostly it was the same.

Except that the artist and designers instead of one there was a lot of them it was the whole second floor with just Artists people that make the designs.

I was greatly surprised that there business there in Lynch is so busy the location that they are located at I would have never thought that I had a very good time Yesterday!

I still think that they should have a website to advertise their business even though they have so much right now that it would just give them more and it will be better in the long run I believe.

It was a big business for such a small area. I thought some of it was cool but other things was very slow to learn of. I did enjoy the room where they printed all the t-shirts. overall i liked the field trip.

I didn't realize how many people order from them. It's impressive that they get orders from out-of-state! I learned how they design their products using the apple computer.

Special T's was an interesting place to visit. I knew they did a lot of business with sports clothing and what not but actually being there you could really tell how busy they stayed and all of the work they put into there designs and clothing. The whole thing was impressive to me, from getting the design ready to putting it on the clothes; that was pretty cool. I learned that if I had any artistic ability I would like a job like that, and it's great that they are so dedicated to what they do!

Yes i was very surprised that they are that big of business in such a small town and that they are surviving. Most businesses in Lynch don't make it to long and end up losing it all and moving to a bigger city. I am most impressed with the way that they make sure to satisfy the customer and I'm pretty sure thats one of the main reasons that they are still surviving and are such a highly recommended business. I learned how the machine applied the colors to the t-shirt and would have to say that was the coolest thing i saw there.

I enjoyed this field trip it was something different to actually go see how they do things instead of like reading about it. I was surprised how fast they can make the shirts and how much work it must take. I enjoyed talking to the designer and learning about how she does her job.

i liked how they made the shirts and how much time it takes to make the shirts and i was really suprised how long it took and how nice they were and so open about how they started there business.

I was really impressed of how big of an area they cover in the small town of lynch. I was surprised at how many hours they worked to make a good product. I was also impressed at how hard they worked to keep everyone happy in their business. I also learned a lot about actually getting the design to the shirt.

I was gone on that day so I didnt get to go on the field trip but I am sure it was alot of fun and i would of learned alot!

1)Well yes and no I was a little surprised but really how many places do that around here. 2) How many different shirts they made, and how well they did it. 3)That they use an adhesive to keep the shirts still while the machine applied the paint.

I was impressed with how big the business was and I was impressed on how she could design such cool stuff on a computer and a machine is smart enough to do all that printing on a shirt. I learned that you can do amazing things on a computer if you just really try and have a lot of patient and I do not have that kind of patients. Sorry that this is late I just realized it was there. I hope you had a good holiday vacation!
